Località Grange di Rivera, 10040 Almese
It’s the Piedmont’s most significant suburban residential building from the Roman epoch dating back to 1st century a.C. Located on the south-west slopes of Mt. Musiné in Grange di Milanere, Almese, the villa covers an area of more than 3.000 square meters, and has a sweeping view of the valley, looking out over its massive containment wall. It stands near the Statio ad Fines (hamlet Drubiaglio of Avigliana), a nodal point for the romanization of the area. RomanRestoration works began in 1979.
