Brief description: The work consists of a fresco created on the front of the stone pedestal of the altar. The central subject is Saint Veronica, dressed in a red cloak covering her head, holding up the veil imprinted with the face of Jesus.
The composition is created on an ochre background surrounded by a blue frame that matches the color scheme of the chapel's apse wall.

Historical-critical notes: The entire fresco cycle of the chapel, depicting scenes with Mary Magdalene and Catherine of Alexandria, dates back to the 16th century. It was completely restored in 2012, bringing to light numerous internal frescoes.
