The Shroud on the Alpine Road
The Road of the Alps runs along the alpine passes that the Shroud crossed multiple times following the Savoy court.
The routes of the Sacred Relic, before its definitive transfer to Turin, are surrounded by a fascinating aura of mystery, but the Valley of Susa, a gateway connecting Turin and Europe, was undoubtedly a privileged transit route and numerous Shroud images can be found there, both in some mural paintings, often visible from public roads, and in paintings on canvas housed in churches and chapels.
Consult the map to find the locations and further information.
