For the feast of Sant'Antonio Abate, the patron saint of animals, the Preceptory of Ranverso is organizing a day, combining sacred and profane traditions, dedicated to animals, which are an integral part of decorative cycles, stories, rituals, and sacred and collective imagery.
At 9:45 a.m. and 3 p.m., the themed tour "Sant'Antonio, the Sacred Fire, and the Animals" will explore the figure of Sant'Antonio Abate, combining the story of the traditions and celebrations in his honor with a look at Ranverso's frescoes and architecture.
At 11 a.m., Mass will be celebrated with the blessing of animals, agricultural products, and agricultural vehicles, officiated by the parish priest of Buttigliera Alta and Rosta, Don Franco Gonella. During the celebration, as per tradition, the bread and agricultural products will be blessed (animals are not permitted inside the church); At 12 noon, outside, the blessing of the animals and agricultural tools continues.
