Intrepide is the title of the exhibition by Iranian photographer Marjan Moghaddam, which recounts the lives, through the eyes of 30 foreign women living in Italy. It is also the name of the guided tour that connects the "intrepide" women from around the world portrayed with the "Saints" depicted in the abbey church's frescoes by Giacomo Jaquerio, one of the leading exponents of International Gothic art in Piedmont.
On the one hand, these are women who chose to leave their homeland to start a new life in Italy, putting themselves on the line to pursue their dreams and face the challenges of change with courage, strength, and determination. On the other, Saints Maddalena, Margherita, and Marta, with their stories of faith, violence, and redemption. They all share a space, the Preceptory of Sant'Antonio di Ranverso, historically dedicated to welcoming pilgrims and wayfarers.
