On Sunday, June 8 at 10:30 am at the Preceptory of Sant’Antonio di Ranverso "The Ranverso Stones", a unique experience to discover the place from the point of view of its stones.
The visit begins by transporting visitors to an ancient time, one marked by the retreat of the ice of the last glaciation that left at the entrance of the Preceptory an enormous erratic boulder that over the years, in addition to the scents of pre-Christian cults, has welcomed the signs of the passage of the monks who placed a stone column with the TAU, the symbol of the Antonian Order, right on top of the boulder. The stones continue in the portico, with the bizarre and monstrous sculptures of the capitals of the columns, in the cloister and in the garden, where the stones have become a small rock garden, the frame of a source that with its gushing water constitutes the "sound" of that part of the garden.
The tour ends with a visit to the church and the frescoes by Giacomo Jaquerio who left his version of the “garden” in the episode of the Agony in the Garden of Olives painted in the sacristy of the abbey church.
