Project start: Jan. 1, 2013
Project end: Dec. 31, 2014
In February 2012, the enhancement plan "Valle di Susa. Treasures of Alpine Art and Culture" presented its application to the funding call of the Compagnia di San Paolo "The cultural and landscape resources of the territory: a network enhancement", aimed at enhancing the cultural and landscape heritage spread across the Piedmontese and Ligurian territory through the promotion of projects based on the integration of all resources and actors present in a territory.
In December 2012, the project was among the sixteen winners (out of 186 proposed) and was funded with 250,000 euros (equivalent to 60% of the entire budget).
The actions that the plan was articulated into over the next two years are linked to improving the enjoyment of the cultural heritage of the Susa Valley, even through technological innovation, the development of projects with the school and youth world, and the growth of the community through training courses.
The participation in the call by the Susa Valley Enhancement Plan was made possible by the co-planning work carried out within the working groups coordinated by the Steering Committee. The project was signed by a broadly representative partnership of the territory: 35 Municipalities, the Mountain Community, 2 regional natural parks, catering and hospitality operators, cultural associations, educational institutions, tourism consortia, and Superintendencies.
