Intrepide is not a simple exhibition, but a deep journey into the lives of about thirty women from all over the world. Women who have chosen to leave their homeland to start a new life in Italy, putting themselves on the line to pursue their dreams and face the challenges of change. Through their faces and their stories, a tale of courage, strength and determination emerges.
The project, exhibited from June 28 to August 31 at the Precettoria di Sant’Antonio di Ranverso, aims to make known authentic stories: sometimes simple, sometimes full of difficulties, but always united by the common thread of courage that drives these women to undertake journeys far from their homeland. The photographs are enriched by texts that delve into the personal experiences of the protagonists. The women portrayed come from all continents, representing a variety of countries, including Armenia, Romania, Russia, Germany, Ireland, Malta, China, Japan, India, Singapore, Australia, Cameroon, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Togo, Cuba, Brazil, Argentina, the United States and Canada. Their gazes, smiles and expressions are the beating heart of the project, capable of transmitting profound and universal emotions. Each image offers an intimate window into their lives, highlighting their extraordinary ability to face and overcome obstacles with determination and hope.
