Almese

On May 1st, the traditional Grange Village Festival in Almese will meet Baratuciat, creating a single, grand event combining the village's traditions with the promotion of wine culture and local products.

The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the official opening of the festival; Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of San Giuseppe.

The heart of the day will be "Camminar Mangiando," a five-stage food and wine trail starting at 12:00 p.m., which will take participants on a journey through the village through traditional dishes and wines of the Susa Valley. The experience will begin with an aperitif of cured meats and cheeses accompanied by Valsusa sparkling wines, followed by traditional appetizers, first courses, and second courses, each paired with select wines such as Baratuciat, Avanà, and Becuet. The event will conclude with a themed dessert, including Baratuciat sorbet and gelato. Reservations are required by April 24th, using the ONLINE FORM (for information: cumale.ass@gmail.com).

Throughout the day, the streets of the village will host a market with exhibitors and local producers, accompanied by an art exhibition featuring the works of Erica Catapane. At Tenuta Gran Vigna, children can also participate in a workshop featuring traditional games, making the festival a meeting place for all ages.

In the afternoon, the program will continue with a rich calendar of events. From 2:00 PM, the Rivera Music Band will enliven the streets with traveling music, while starting at 2:30 PM, free guided tours of the Roman Villa will be offered. There will also be fun activities open to all, including "bottle fishing."

There will also be space for dancing, with street tango starting at 3:30 PM, led by the maestros of ASD Aires Nuevos, followed by additional musical entertainment from 4:30 PM by Spazio X.

In case of inclement weather, the event will still take place at the Tenuta Gran Vigna, a charming medieval estate nestled in an enchanting park, among majestic oaks, centuries-old olive trees, climbing vines, and charming corners, which will host the day's main activities.
