Sport festival in Avigliana

A sports-filled weekend in Avigliana.

On Saturday, September 20, the open water event will take place from 3 PM to 6 PM at the Avigliana Sailing Center on Corso Laghi 182. Starting at 8:30 PM, also at the Sailing Center, there will be a dance evening open to everyone, featuring ballroom dancing, salsa, Latin American, and Caribbean dances, organized by the dance schools Armonia del Movimento and La Flaca.

On Sunday, September 21, the Sports Council is organizing the Sports Festival at Alveare Verde Park, near Corso Laghi 100. From 2:45 PM to 7 PM, visitors can try out the many sports disciplines on offer. A new feature this year is a special card for young participants: if they try at least five sports, they will be entitled to two free trial sessions with the associations of their choice. Throughout the day, there will be sports demonstrations and performances, as well as opportunities to try, participate in, and enjoy the activities proposed by the attending associations.

A wide variety of disciplines will be featured: yoga, athletics, bike school, dance, basketball, baseball, soccer, aerial acrobatics, rhythmic gymnastics, baby dance, tai chi, fitwalking, archery, skating, fitness, Nordic walking and orienteering, dragon boat, meditative warrior dances, social dancing, rowing, karate, pilates, kickboxing, parkour, tennis, volleyball, horse riding, zumba, kayaking, sailing, and stand-up paddleboarding.

At the Rock Gym, the former Bertonasso quarry located behind La Fabrica on Via IV Novembre 19, participants will have the opportunity to try sport climbing with UISP and FASI instructors.
