Raduno Nazionale della FIE ad Avigliana

This year, Avigliana will host the National Gathering of the Italian Hiking Federation (FIE) from Friday, October 17 to Sunday, October 19. The event program includes hikes accessible to everyone, cultural events, conferences about the local area, and the 44th Italian Alpine Regularity Walking Championship, sponsored by the Metropolitan City of Turin. Avigliana was chosen for its artistic, cultural, and natural features. The FIE’s Piedmont Regional Committee has organized hikes open to all along routes of historical, environmental, and scenic interest; conferences on topics related to the territory; a photo exhibition; a series of guided tours of Avigliana and the Sacra di San Michele; hikes designed for young people and persons with disabilities; access by reservation to the indoor climbing gym; and a musical performance. The Italian Alpine Regularity Walking Championship will also feature open and accessible races to encourage the exchange of experiences between hikers and walkers.

On Saturday, October 18, participants will be able to join hikes along the Lago Piccolo Trail (also accessible to people who require mobility aids), the Lakes Loop, the Pilgrims’ Route, the Peat Bog Loop, the Sacra di San Michele, Rocca Sella, the Villar Dora “Trail for Everyone” (accessible to people who require aids), and the Ridge Trail. On Sunday, October 19, the hiking options will include the Lago Piccolo Trail, the “Trail for Everyone,” the Lakes Loop, the Ridge Trail, the Sacra di San Michele, and Mount Cuneo.
