Salbertrand

Discover an extraordinary work carved into the mountain in the 16th century: Colombano Romean's Pertus. Accompanied by guides from the Cottian Alps Parks, you will walk through this fascinating hydraulic tunnel (water conditions permitting), exploring the history, ingenuity, and labor of the man who created it. A unique experience of nature, memory, and wonder, in the heart of the Alps.

This is a challenging hike due to the length of the route and the type of experience. Total elevation gain: approximately 350 meters. Participants are responsible for their own packed lunch. Mountain clothing, a rain jacket, suitable hiking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and water are essential. Spare socks and shoes are also required for crossing the Pertus.

Departure from Salbertrand Railway Station at 8:00 am.

Free participation with mandatory reservations (includes shuttle to Grange della Valle).

Please contact the guide before booking: Laura Matta, tel. +39 3282259713.
