Avigliana
Closing out the first part of the 2026 season, Avigliana is preparing for a weekend of art, culture, and emotion.
On Saturday, June 27th and Sunday, June 28th, the Vita e Pace association is offering a series of captivating events in the historic setting of Santa Maria Maggiore: two musical events that fall within the annual theme of "People, Characters, and Personalities."
June 27th, 4:30 PM - Concert dedicated to Jean Henry Dunant, founder of the Red Cross, founded in 1859 following the bloody Battle of Solferino.
June 28th, 4:30 PM - Choral event promoted by the Associazione Cori Piemontesi (ACP), which, with its Iter Vocis series, offers audiences musical experiences of great intensity and emotion.
Further enhancing the cultural program will be the contemporary art exhibition "The Silence of Portraits," held in the spaces adjacent to the church and open to the public until September 2026.
The exhibition brings together the works of artists Daniela Bruno, Alessia Cagnotto, Davide Camattari, Daniela Capasso, Patrizia Pantieri, and Salvatore Sardo, the protagonists of an exhibition that addresses the theme of portraiture through different languages, techniques, and sensibilities.
Free admission.
