Conference "Beyond the Rock. Colombano Romean's Pertus: History, Science, and Alpine Tradition" on Saturday, July 4th at the Exilles Fort.

An afternoon dedicated to one of the most extraordinary masterpieces of Alpine engineering of the Renaissance: Colombano Romean's Pertus, the hydraulic tunnel dug into the rock starting in 1526 and still capable of astonishing today with its ingenuity and audacity.

Historians, archaeologists, geologists, speleologists, anthropologists, and local experts will meet in a multidisciplinary conference to discuss the history of the work, its context, and its extraordinary cultural and scientific value.

Participation is free, but reservations are recommended.

Registration at 2:00 PM
Working hours begin at 2:30 PM
Theatrical performance "The Gift of Water," by ArTeMuDa, at 9:00 PM.

A moving tale that intertwines history, myth, and memory, leading the audience on a journey to discover the man who, with courage and determination, challenged the mountains to bring water to Alpine communities. Written and directed by Roberto Micali and Renato Sibille. Starring Roberto Micali, Stéphanie Renard, Renato Sibille, and Clara Zanni. Live music by Ricky Avataneo.
