Conference "Devotion and Hope: Ex-Votos at the Consolata Sanctuary."
Over 3,000 ex-votos are housed at the Consolata Sanctuary: paintings on canvas, wooden tablets, and silver hearts. They are not just examples of folk art, but the intimate and profound story of an entire people's devotion to the Virgin Consolata and the Consoler.
Each holds a story, a prayer, or a gesture of thanksgiving that has spanned the centuries of our city.
Let's discover the Church of the Consolata together, the origins of the Ex-Votos, and, in particular, retrace some of the stories behind this incredible legacy of Turin's history and hope.
