On Sunday, August 24 the Collegno-Sestriere is back, a classic cycling race reserved for the Junior category. After the legendary 20th stage of the Giro d'Italia, it brings the stars of the future back to the roads of the Susa Valley up to Colle del Sestriere. This 103km route represents a true testing ground for emerging young talents, a springboard to the professional ranks.
The young cyclists will pass through many municipalities of the Susa Valley, beginning a gradual climb from Susa, Gravere, Chiomonte, Exilles, Salbertrand, Oulx, and Cesana, where they will begin the final ascent to the 2,035-meter Colle di Sestriere: a high-altitude finish that rewards the strongest and most determined. The first riders are expected to cross the finish line, set up in Piazzale Maestri, at 3:30 PM.
