Priorato di San Bartolomeo: luci e musica su 1000 anni di storia ad Avigliana

The Aviglianese Archaeological Association, in collaboration with the "Valle Susa Tesori" initiative and under the patronage of the City of Avigliana, is pleased to present an extraordinary evening dedicated to promoting the area's historical and cultural heritage. On Sunday, July 19th, the doors of the evocative Priory of San Bartolomeo will open to welcome residents, tourists, and enthusiasts to a unique event entitled "Priory of San Bartolomeo: Lights and Music over 1,000 Years of History."

The event will begin at 5:00 PM with an in-depth guided tour of the Priory Church.

Experts from the Archaeological Association will accompany visitors on a discovery of the architectural beauties and precious medieval frescoes housed within the site, revealing anecdotes and stories spanning a millennium of local history, immersed in the timeless atmosphere of this ancient, verdant medieval village.

Following this, at 6:00 PM, the historic naves of the sacred building will serve as a sounding board for the concert by the flute ensemble "I Trasversali." The ensemble, composed of the talented musicians Silvia Ruffino, Irene

Silano, Dora Strukan Garrone, Francesca Lanza, and Davide Galleano, will perform a refined and engaging repertoire.

These professional artists graduated from some of Europe's most renowned conservatories and academies, including those in Turin, Rome, Salzburg, Freiburg, Lugano, and Strasbourg.
