The Chiusa di San Michele Planetarium is launching its 2026–2027 season.
On Sunday, October 25, the venue will host its customary double session—at 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM—to kick off a new season of gatherings and storytelling under the stars. This launch continues the series of commemorations dedicated to the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi.
In the program "For All Your Creatures – Of Saints and Fierce Animals," Alberto Borgatta and Fabio Otta will lead the audience on a journey through hagiographies, legends, and tales of faith, drawing from sources such as the *Golden Legend* (*Legenda aurea*) by Jacopo da Varagine and various other accounts of the saints.
From Jerome of Stridon to Francis of Assisi, the program explores figures of faith who possessed the ability to approach and tame wild beasts. These stories—in which the relationship between humanity and nature serves as a springboard for reflection—invite us to contemplate compassion, spirituality, and the possibility of a harmonious coexistence among all living creatures.
