Almese

On Sunday, May 24th, the first public event of Musinè Trails Collective (MTC) will be held in Almese. It is titled "Trail Care Day - Hands on the Trails," an initiative organized by the Municipality of Almese and open to all residents.

Musinè Trails Collective was born from the commitment of two eco-volunteers from the Almese group who, combining their passion for mountain biking and care for the local area, decided to dedicate themselves to the construction and maintenance of local trails, with the goal of making them increasingly accessible, safe, and well-maintained for everyone.

The May 24th event, which the Municipality is promoting because it aims to raise awareness among residents about the importance of understanding and caring for their local area and trail heritage, represents the collective's first outreach to the community, with a day dedicated to trail caring, or the care and maintenance of existing trails.

The day's program

Meeting is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. in Piazza Martiri della Libertà, in front of the Almese Town Hall. The activities, scheduled in the Goja del Pis area, will begin at 11:00 a.m.

The operations will be accessible to everyone, even those new to this type of activity: the group will provide professional hand tools and will guide participants through the trail maintenance activities. It is recommended that participants wear clothing and footwear suitable for outdoor activities, preferably hiking or working in natural environments, and bring gloves. Participation is open to all ages, provided they are able to walk comfortably on the trails; minors must be accompanied by a parent or adult.

The planned activities do not include the use of internal combustion engine equipment or complex interventions, but will focus on gentle and mindful interventions, designed to encourage participation and an understanding of the work of maintaining the trail network.

The operational session will take place approximately between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and may vary depending on the number of participants. The working groups will be supervised and coordinated by members of the collective.

A project for the local area

The initiative is part of a broader project that sees the Musinè Trails Collective committed to the development and enhancement of the local trail network, in collaboration with the Municipality of Almese and other entities in the Musinè area.

Participation is free and open to all interested parties.
