Avigliana
On Sunday, July 5th, the Church of Santa Maria in Avigliana hosts a double event dedicated to culture and music, promoted by the Vita e Pace Association and curated by Maestro Matteo Gentile.
The afternoon begins at 2:00 PM with a seminar dedicated to a timeless and fascinating theme: "Extraordinary Figures in Music, Science, and History." This is an opportunity to explore the dialogue between different disciplines and rediscover figures who have shaped their time.
At 6:00 PM, music takes center stage with a concert that will guide the audience on a sound journey inspired by the same theme. Two vocal ensembles will perform, accompanied on the piano by Maestro Alessandro Orlandoni, for an engaging musical experience accessible to all ages.
The initiative is also designed for a younger audience, with the aim of introducing new generations to culture through diverse and immediate languages, combining dissemination and artistic performance.
Furthermore, until September 2026, the exhibition "The Silence of Portraits" can be visited in the rooms adjacent to the church, presenting the works of six contemporary artists. It's an opportunity to discover different interpretations of portraiture and be captivated by different perspectives, emotions, and artistic languages.
Free admission.
