Avigliana... Together

The 27th edition of "Avigliana Insieme" will open on Sunday, May 10th at 4:30 PM in the church of Santa Maria Maggiore in Borgo Vecchio, Vicolo Santa Maria, in Avigliana.
Promoted by the "Vita e Pace" ODV Cultural Center, which has enhanced this space with significant initiatives for over twenty-five years, the festival marks the reopening of the church to the public after the winter break, once again offering a calendar of musical and cultural events in an intimate and highly appreciated setting.
The theme chosen for the 2026 edition, "People, Characters, and Personalities," is dedicated to figures who have left their mark on various fields of culture and knowledge, continuing the thematic path developed in previous years.
The season will open with a concert-performance in which music and narration intertwine, giving new life to ancient myths: music is not simply an accompaniment but an integral part of the story, capable of evoking atmospheres and inspirations.
The event features Stefano Cavanna, a multifaceted artist who combines music, theater, and magic in an original and engaging performance.
His storytelling will explore questions and suggestions from the world of mythology (from Apollo's lyre to Pan's blowing wind through the reeds, to the figure of Marsyas) in a fascinating journey through sound and words.
A musician, actor, and illusionist, Cavanna, known as the "Pied Piper of Italy," holds a degree in ancient Greek lyre and has received international recognition in the field of magic.
His shows evoke atmospheres of times gone by, harking back to the tradition of bards and aedi: a blend of music and storytelling that creates wonder, following an ancient formula reinterpreted for today's audiences.
