The Vita e Pace cultural season resumes on Sunday, September 6th at 4:30 PM with an event dedicated to music and the intersection of languages: the church of Santa Maria in Borgo Vecchio in Avigliana will host "Geometries of the Twentieth Century," featuring a performance by the Trio Nigun, an ensemble composed of young students from the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana in Lugano.
The concert offers a musical journey spanning different eras, styles, and sensibilities, intertwining folk influences, jazz, and experimental approaches to twentieth-century music.
The program is designed to offer audiences a rich and diverse experience, in which tradition and research interact through the writing of some of the most important composers of the last century.
The afternoon will feature performances of music by Igor Stravinsky, Alban Berg, and Béla Bartók, composers united by their ability to explore new forms of expression and engage with popular roots and the transformations of musical language.
Free admission.
