Exilles

For four centuries, the halls and courtyard of the Fort have housed garrisons, sentries, and sutlers. On Sunday, August 2nd, that fortress life returns.

Exilles, a Fort at the Foot of the Assietta is a day of education and historical reenactment organized by the Coordination of Historical Reenactments 1600-1700, the association that since 2008 has brought together and coordinated five local historical groups. The reenactors, dressed in period costumes, draw inspiration from the exhibition "Guardians of the Alps. Memories of Soldiers, Men, and Garrisons of the Ancient Fort of Exilles," set up in the Royal Battery, and take visitors on a journey through time through the history of the Fort, from the 17th to the 20th century.
