Sunday, July 12, "Chiomonte 1914... and surroundings." Reenactment of an ancient feast day... the Levis couple donate a prestigious nursery school.

Program:

10:00 am - Participants gather in the station square, along with the authorities and participants who, following the Giaglione Philharmonic Band, will make their way to the G. Levis Nursery School.

10:30 am - Nursery School - Official opening of the event with the mayor handing over the nursery school keys to the mayor at the time and the Levis couple presenting the deed of donation to the civil authorities of the time. Ribbon-cutting ceremony with the participation of the children and teachers of the current nursery school and primary school. The teacher and children will take their seats in front of a photograph of the old kindergarten classroom and will relive it through Colombano's story, singing the song composed by the Pro Loco of Exilles with lyrics by A. Perissinotto.

11:00 AM - Attendance at Mass for those who wish.

11:10 AM - From the kindergarten, following the band, the children will travel to "Casa Amica," where a similar performance will take place.

12:00 PM - Vin d'honneur for all participants and the audience.

1:00 PM - "Colombano's Menu" will be served at the "Al Cantun" restaurant. This moment will be accompanied by period music, as reported on the menu of July 20, 1879.

3:30 PM and 5:30 PM - At the Peuy and Cantun fountains, Teatroniseme will perform "The Chatting Fountains," featuring scenes from everyday life. The washerwomen's disputes will focus on the use of the Pertus waters and the disputes between the communities of Cels and Ramats, Exilles and Chiomonte and Giaglione.

From 10:00 AM - Crafts market under the arcades of the main street.

N.B. Guided tours are available throughout the day to visit the Carving School, the Milk Museum, and the Levis Art Gallery. The Hydroelectric Museum at the Chiomonte Power Plant can be visited by calling +39 055 52 52 52. 3388828535 (Mr. Nebiolo) a few days before the event.
