On the occasion of World Refugee Day on June 20—established to raise awareness of the plight of refugees and commemorate the approval of the 1951 Convention—a new event in the "Voci in Viaggio" series will take place at Ciclocucina in Avigliana on Sunday, June 14th at 6:00 PM.
The evening's guest will be Francesco Vietti, a member of Viaggi Solidali and creator of our trips to Lampedusa, who will present his book "Tristi Mediterranei," published by Eris Edizioni.
A meeting to discuss the Mediterranean, migration, borders, and humanity, intertwining stories, experiences, and reflections that also engage profoundly with the meaning of travel on the island of Lampedusa.
A drink will be served during the presentation.
Participation fee: €6.
Reservations required by Thursday, June 11th.
Afterwards, it will be possible to stop for dinner at Ciclocucina (reservations required) and participate in the special evening “Beat win the wave”, a selection of world music & global beat curated by Alp King.
