Carnival of Valmessa

This year, Carnival is growing and becoming even more special: Almese, Villar Dora, and Rubiana are joining forces for a Carnival full of fun for everyone.

A great celebration of color, music, and joy, with the participation of local associations, who, as per tradition, will parade in masks through the streets of the towns.

THE PROGRAM

2:00 PM - Meeting point at Piazza Donatori di Sangue in Villar Dora
2:30 PM - Departure of the masked procession
4:00 PM - Arrival at the Rivera Oratory field, with a welcome dessert provided by the Siole Piene association, entertainment for children, and awards for the best masks
8:00 PM - Musical evening with DJ ADRIX in the Association Hall at Villa Dora (Via Pelissere 16). Reservations are available at Cartolibreria Nerina (Villar Dora).

"WHAT IS LOVE...?", ART EXHIBITION
On Saturday, February 7th, at 6:00 PM, at the headquarters of the LiberaMente BeMeWe association (Via Almese 17, Villar Dora), the art exhibition "What is love...?" opens. Until February 28th, in the shops of Almese and Villar Dora, citizens will find messages, questions, and reflections on love, which will inspire them to submit their own contributions and become part of the collective work.

"SCENT OF RESIN", FILM SCREENING
On Sunday, February 15th, at 8:30 PM, at the Milanere Social Center, the Amici del Palio Association is offering a free screening of the film "Scent of Resin" by Luigi Cantore.

CARNIVAL BONFIRE
On Saturday, February 21st, in Milanere, in the fields near the cemetery, the traditional Carnival Bonfire will be lit, organized by the Milanere Agricultural and Zootechnical Fair Association, the Milanere Social Center, and the Friends of the Palio.

An ancient folk tradition to close out the Carnival season, bid farewell to winter, and welcome spring.

Mulled wine, bugie (a type of sweet drink), and hot chocolate will be served throughout the evening.
