Sant'Ambrogio di Torino

At the entrance to the Susa Valley, along the Dora Riparia River, the town of Sant'Ambrogio di Torino can be considered a sort of "antechamber" to the Susa Valley mountain area. Here, you can admire some valuable medieval buildings, such as the Abbey Palace, the city walls, the Palazzo del Feudo and its tower, as well as the Customs Tower and the 11th-century bell tower.

Sant'Ambrogio is also a town with a strong culinary tradition, owing part of its recent fame to the Paste 'd Melia 'd Sant'Ambreus, which are the protagonists of the Meliga Day, the seventeenth edition of which is scheduled from Friday, September 26th to Sunday, September 28th, under the patronage of the Metropolitan City of Turin. On Saturday the 27th from 2 to 9 pm and Sunday the 28th from 9 am to 7 pm in Sant'Ambrogio, visitors will find an exhibition of local agricultural, artisanal and hobby products, but above all the tasting and sale of traditional Santambrogio products based on cornmeal paste.
