Brief description:
Vittorio Amedeo II, still a child (1666-1732), is depicted in front of the Holy Shroud, surrounded by members of the court and some clerics and cardinals. The cardinal figures hold up the cloth with the figure of Christ while the other figures, child Vittorio Amedeo and other members of the court, stand in the background holding votive candles or processional crosses. All the characters are represented under a large red canopy that offers shelter to the court and the scene and bears the cross of the Mauritian order on its front.
