The Elpis Foundation, under the patronage and in collaboration with the Municipality of Avigliana, presents the seventh edition of "Una Boccata d’Arte," a multi-disciplinary contemporary art project launched in 2020 based on an idea by Marina Nissim, President of the Elpis Foundation, and developed annually through the involvement of 20 Italian and international artists invited to create site-specific works in 20 Italian villages, one for each region. The initiative has also received the patronage of the Piedmont Region.
In the gardens beneath the ruins of Avigliana Castle, hybrid creatures, suspended between play and anxiety, by Andrea Ferrero—curated by Veronica Botta—redefine the dynamics of relationships with power. The grotesque, once a sign of exclusion, becomes a space for encounter and community, and play becomes a tool for renegotiating authority.
Opening Saturday, June 20th at 4:00 PM.
