The twelfth edition of the Camaleontika festival kicks off on Saturday, April 11th at the Magnetto Auditorium in Almese, with an event that combines musical quality with strong inclusive and social values.
The season will open with "Progetto Faber – Le Nuvole" by the BBB Band, a collective artistic experience that intertwines music, images, and words, created in April 2024 to honor Fabrizio De André, 25 years after his passing. This show is not limited to musical performances, but rather restores the singer-songwriter's poetic depth through a shared and participatory journey.
CAMALEONTIKA is the festival organized by M.O.V. – Moderne Officine Valsusa and the Fabula Rasa company at the Magnetto Auditorium, with the enthusiastic and ongoing support of the Municipality of Almese. The twelfth edition marks a new phase for the project, maintaining its focus on theater and live performance as tools for community encounter, participation, and cultural growth.
The first event features the BBB Band, a group formed within the Progetto Davide association—founded in 2001 by family and friends of Davide, a young man from Piossasco who lost his life in a car accident in 1998 at just 23 years old—which promotes social, educational, cultural, and sports activities for people with disabilities in the Turin area.
The band was founded in 2007 as an inclusive musical experience, with the aim of enhancing the expressive abilities of Roberto, one of the young people involved in the association. He loved singing while accompanying himself on the guitar and is now the group's drummer. Over time, the project has grown to involve educators, volunteers, musician friends, and other young people from the association, creating a collective artistic journey in which music becomes a tool for expression, sharing, and participation.
Taking the stage will be Rosa Marchetto (vocals), Andrea Bona (rhythm guitar), Ivano Pincelli (bass), Roberto Bertinetti (drums and vocals), Gianni Lucco Castello (accordion and flute), Teo De Angelis (guitars and vocals), and Pieraldo Bona, joined by other young people who contribute rhythmic and percussive elements to some of the songs, helping to make each performance a choral experience.
The "Le Nuvole" project was born from a shared effort to select songs by Fabrizio De André: a participatory process that saw the band members engage with a wide repertoire until they developed a common setlist, the fruit of listening, discussion, and collaboration.
During the show, the music is intertwined with visual and textual contributions created by the association's young people, who interpreted the theme of "clouds" through drawings and compositions that were then projected and read live, enriching the concert with a narrative and deeply personal dimension.
The result is an experience that goes beyond the concert, transforming into a moment of encounter between artistic languages and human journeys, perfectly in line with the spirit of Camaleontika and its focus on offerings that combine artistic quality and social value.
