Fairy tales, legends, and true stories about the wolf, with a narrated visit exploring the fauna depicted in the frescoes of the Preceptory of Sant’Antonio di Ranverso, followed by a talk by Andrea Beretta, nature guide from the Educational Services of the Royal Parks Protected Areas Management Authority.
The visit combines both the naturalistic and wildlife aspects related to the valley’s wild animals, taking place during the days dedicated to Saint Francis, who, due to his story in Gubbio, is also considered the patron saint of wolves. “The Return of the Wolf” tells the ancient and modern story of a difficult coexistence, aiming to dispel certain myths and misconceptions.
