"Forget you're in 2026, put on your dress, and travel back in time with us on Saturday the 11th. In the splendid setting of Piazza Conte Rosso in Avigliana, go back to the 18th century." This is the invitation from the Borgo Vecchio association, which, in collaboration with the historical group Nobiltà Savouda and with the patronage of the Municipality of Avigliana, is organizing the "Soirée at the Savoy Court" for Saturday, July 11th.
Starting at 6:00 PM at the Giardino delle Donne, you can participate in a free workshop for children and one for adults who want to learn 18th-century dances. This will then lead to a dinner (reservation required).
Around 6:30 PM, also at the Giardino delle Donne, will see the performance of a lively play written specifically about Avigliana by the Savoy Nobility, who will also be responsible for the dances. Dinner will be served in Piazza Conte Rosso, with reservations required and themed attire. Little by little, as if by magic, the evening will bring us back to the present day with dancing, DJ sets, and drinks. A unique experience in the Valley not to be missed.
