Together Let's Racket Parkinson's in Avigliana

The sixth edition of the 24-hour Dunlop Tennis Trophy - Educational Tennis Parkinson's "Together Let's Racket Parkinson's" will take place from Friday, June 26th at 6:00 PM to Saturday, June 27th at 6:00 PM on the Avigliana sports fields at Via Suppo 4, in collaboration with Prima Sport Village.
Organized by the Sportherapy Academy Aps ASD association, affiliated with CSEN, the association promotes racket sports for people with Parkinson's and neurodegenerative diseases. Tennis is considered one of the most effective sports for counteracting the progression of the disease, using the method developed by Gianni Zullo ETP Educational Tennis Parkinson.
The event aims to raise awareness of the disease and fundraise for Parkinson's projects and the "Io sono te" association, which works with children with rare diseases and combines sport and community. Tennis can be played throughout the 24-hour period, depending on the members' availability. For night owls, midnight spaghetti, and for early risers, cappuccino and brioche.
Numerous supporters have donated prizes that will be divided by drawing among participants: two VIP tickets for the 2027 Rome International BNL Tournament stand among them. Massage and sleep equipment, bracelets, tennis equipment, shopping vouchers, and gadgets are among the prizes.
The game format will be primarily doubles, and participants will be divided into two mega teams. One of the two teams will win the tournament, and all players will be entered into a prize draw. Two Italian wheelchair tennis champions will grace the tournament and can be teammates or opponents. In collaboration with Tr Alcorder, an official will be present to perform free screenings of blood pressure, oxygen saturation, heart rate, respiratory activity, and metabolic parameters using the brand-new video check-up device. The event is sponsored by the Piedmont Region, the Metropolitan City of Turin, the Municipalities of Avigliana, Villarbasse, and Buttigliera Alta, the Aigp (Italian Association of Young Parkinson's Patients), and the New Abilitj Association.
