Also this year the guided tours of the Roman villas of Almese and Caselette and the Primavalle Area are back in full swing, with a full calendar of events starting in April until the end of October!
The tours - free and conducted by an archaeologist supported by volunteers from the Arca association - offer an immersion in archaeology to learn about the history and culture in the context of Roman times in Val di Susa. The Villas, dating back to around the 1st century AD, are among the most important extra-urban residential complexes of the Roman era in Piedmont.
Located on the slopes of Mount Musinè, the Primavalle Area is home to numerous species of animals and plants that are rare at a national and regional level, making it one of the Piedmont areas with the greatest biodiversity. A true "xerothermic oasis" that also includes the Upper and Lower Caselette Lakes.
