On Friday, June 5th, at 9:00 PM, in the parish church of Almese, the "Mater Ecclesiae" polyphonic choir will host the "Abbazia della Novalesa" and "Santuario di San Pancrazio" choirs of Pianezza, sharing an evening of sacred music.
The "Abbazia della Novalesa" choir performs a repertoire of Gregorian chants, in which it specializes, and is directed by Enrico Demaria, with the participation of soloist Elena Vadori. The "Santuario di San Pancrazio, Pianezza" choir is directed by Bruno Bergamini, with the participation of organist Aldo Bergamini, and performs works by Mendelssohn, Bach, and Fauré.
The "Mater Ecclesiae" choir, directed by Silvano Bertolo, performs works by De Victoria, Fauré, Schütz, and Rheinberger, with the participation of baritone Simone Giorda and organists Aldo and Bruno Bergamini.
Finally, the choirs reunited, conducted by Bruno Bergamini, accompanied on the organ by Aldo Bergamini, and featuring soprano soloist Sofia Roncarolo, will perform Felix Mendelssohn's "Hör' meinBitten, Herr."
The concert is sponsored by the Municipality of Almese, the Valmessa Pastoral Unit, the Piedmontese Choir Association, and Organalia.
