Cinema in Verticale is a festival dedicated to cinema, culture and mountain sports, born in 1999 as a preview of the Valsusa Filmfest, a historic community film and cultural festival whose 29th edition will take place in March and April in various municipalities of the lower and upper Susa Valley.
The highlight of this edition is scheduled for Saturday, March 22 in Bardonecchia, organized to celebrate the 40th anniversary of SportRoccia 1985, the first sport climbing competition that gave rise to a discipline now recognized at Olympic level.
A debate will be held with the participation of Linda Cottino, journalist and expert in mountain culture, Marco Scolaris, president of the International Federation of Sport Climbing, and Marco Bernardi, one of the organizers of the 1985 event. It will be an opportunity to retrace the history of sport climbing, from the first competitions to the Olympics, through testimonies and multimedia contributions, including some services that were produced by TGR Piemonte.
