Cinema in Verticale is a festival dedicated to cinema, culture and mountain sports, born in 1999 as a preview of the Valsusa Filmfest, a historic community film and cultural festival whose 29th edition will take place in March and April in various municipalities of the lower and upper Susa Valley.
On March 20 at the Condove cinema, Matteo Della Bordella, one of the strongest Italian climbers, will present "Odyssea Borealis", the film directed by Alessandro Beltrame that documents his extraordinary expedition to Greenland in the summer of 2024. Together with his companions Symon Welfringer, Silvan Schüpbach and Alex Gammeter, Della Bordella faced a unique adventure: 300 km by kayak along the eastern coast of Greenland, followed by the opening of a new route, called "Odyssea Borealis" on the northwest face of Drøneren, 1200 meters high and previously untouched. The expedition required not only technical climbing skills, but also a profound ability to adapt to the extreme conditions of the Arctic environment.
