Guided nighttime tours of the Roman Villa of Caselette and the Primavalle Area.

The archaeologists, naturalists, and volunteers of the Ar.c.A. association of Almese will lead you on a discovery of Roman culture and architecture from the first century AD and the unique features of the area on the slopes of Mount Musinè, in the enchanting atmosphere of summer evenings.

Two evocative events under the stars to discover the area, combining archaeology and nature.

Events Calendar

Thursday, July 23 – Primavalle Natural Area: first visit at 9:00 PM, second visit at 10:30 PM. A nighttime journey to discover biodiversity and this xerothermic oasis.

Friday, July 31 – Roman Villa of Caselette: first visit at 9:00 PM, second visit at 10:30 PM. A magical atmosphere to discover the secrets of one of the most important Roman-era suburban residential complexes in Piedmont.

The meeting point for both tours is the Villa Romana di Caselette parking lot.

Reservations

The events have a limited number of places; to reserve your spot, please book by emailing arca.almese@gmail.com.

Participation is by donation, payable directly on-site at the time of the tour.

Mandatory and Recommended Equipment

To ensure maximum safety for all participants during the nighttime tours, it is essential to adhere to the following guidelines:

Closed-toe Shoes (Mandatory): Sandals or open-toe shoes are strictly prohibited, given the nature of the terrain. A lugged or trekking shoe is recommended.

Flashlight (Mandatory): Only a headlamp or flashlight are permitted (no handheld flashlights or cell phones).

Don't have a flashlight? You can rent a headlamp directly on-site, while supplies last. You will need a €5 deposit, which will be refunded at the end of the tour.

Mosquito repellent: highly recommended for enjoying the evenings without any hassles.

The event is organized by the Ar.c.A. ODV Association, under the patronage of the Municipality of Caselette, in collaboration with the Magnetto Foundation, Finder S.p.A., and the Superintendence of Archaeology, Fine Arts, and Landscape for the Metropolitan City of Turin.
