Saturday, April 12th, at 5:00 PM in Condove, M. Hack Library (Via Roma 1), concert "A Greeting to Travelers" with Flavio Giacchero and Marzia Rey.
Where can we find new and diverse perspectives to tell a story? This show is a journey through voices and memories (Occitan, Franco-Provençal, French, Piedmontese) where each language, with its own musicality, gives voice to different perspectives that allow us to speak of the past and the present. The title recalls the Macedonian epigraphs that offered poetic greetings to passersby along the paths.
In a suspended space created by drone music, instruments such as bagpipes and saxophones dialogue with electronics to address universal themes: the figure of women, war, migration. An invitation to slow down and let yourself be traversed by stories that look at today with ancient and profound eyes.
Flavio Giacchero: bass clarinet, soprano saxophone, bagpipes, electronics, vocals
Marzia Rey: violin, vocals
