Climate change, the future of water resources, and the memory of the places we inhabit lie at the heart of "Verso Ripa e Verso Terra – Dal Vajont ad Atlante delle Rive" (Towards the Bank and Towards the Land – From Vajont to the Atlas of Riverbanks). This initiative, proposed by Libere Carpenterie Teatrali, invites reflection on climate change and its consequences, starting with the local area we call home.
The event takes place on Friday, October 16, at 9:00 PM at the Milanere Community Center, featuring an evening of personal accounts, discussion, and theater.
The gathering offers an opportunity to trace the changes that have shaped the town and to reflect on the landscape we have known versus the one we are passing on to future generations. With the contribution of a local geologist, the focus will be specifically on "small waters"—precious resources that have sustained local communities for centuries and now require recognition and protection.
The evening will also serve as an invitation to actively participate in the "Atlante delle Rive" project by collaborating on the narrative that will take shape on stage in September 2027. Afterward, Libere Carpenterie Teatrali will present a new reading of "Osteria Vajont 2.0."
The initiative is organized with the support of the Almese Youth Council and the Cumale' cultural association, under the patronage of the Municipality of Almese.
