Arthur Conan Doyle is staying with his ailing wife at an elegant spa in the Swiss mountains. He ostensibly seeks inspiration for his novels and relief from her tuberculosis; in reality, he has other plans.
With them are Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. Invisible to everyone except Doyle, the two begin to suspect. Doyle has promised them an exciting new adventure but appears distant and distracted: something isn't right.
Equipped with a magnifying glass, a detective hat, and wearing only a bathrobe, the two collect clues and set out to investigate their creator.
