On Sunday, April 26, at 5:00 PM, the Friends of the Church of San Rocco and the ELEVAL - Momenti d’Arte Cultural Association will inaugurate the exhibition "Luisa Albert – The Theater of the Real," curated by Domiziana Bocina, in the exhibition space of the ancient Romanesque church of San Rocco on Via Battisti in Condove. The exhibition will be open until May 17.
The Artist
LUISA ALBERT
Luisa Albert lives and works in Turin, where she was born in 1969.
After graduating from the Illustration Department of the European Institute of Design in Milan, she began collaborating with several publishing houses.
In 1993, she approached the world of painting thanks to the teachings of Ottavio Mazzonis, her constant and invaluable mentor.
She exhibited for the first time in a group show at the Galleria Dantesca in Turin in 1996. Since then, she has participated in over 50 group and solo exhibitions in Italy and abroad. His still lifes stand out among his works, all executed from life, after a careful selection of objects and draperies and a skillful exploration of light and color. Beyond the aesthetic value of the finished painting, the works often contain details that recall the artist's experiences, common sensations, or current events, masked with
poetry and delicacy.
Other notable works are his "houses." The artist studies their light and warmth, choosing the most suitable time of day to portray them, thus creating the sensation that their occupants have just left the room.
Horses and figures complete his pictorial production: his portraits include some of the presidents of the Piedmont Regional Council, exhibited at Palazzo Lascaris, Toro Assicurazioni, and the CRT Foundation.
His works are exhibited at the Galleria Pirra in Turin, Arte in Salotto in Milan, Friedmann-Hahn in Berlin, and Francis Iles in Rochester. For years, he has been part of the artists' stable at the Galleria Forni in Bologna.
In 2011, she won the competition to create the altarpiece for the Church of San Michele Arcangelo in Cento.

Luisa Albert: The Teatro del Reale
The Ancient Romanesque Church of San Rocco in Condove opens its doors to a highly evocative artistic event: the exhibition "The Teatro del Reale," dedicated to the work of painter Luisa Albert.
The exhibition promises an introspective journey through a selection of works that celebrate the beauty of everyday life and the majesty of life.
The Exhibition
The exhibition focuses on the artist's ability to stage reality, transforming the canvas into a stage where light and form take center stage. Visitors will be able to admire a collection that spans the artist's most cherished themes.
The works belonging to the still life genre are not simple compositions of inanimate objects, but fragments of life suspended in time. Objects emerge from the darkness or neutral backgrounds thanks to sharp cuts of light, lending a monumental dignity to even the simplest subjects, always depicted with lenticular precision, in the manner of the Flemish masters.
In this way, each still life invites the viewer to pause for contemplation, celebrating the intrinsic beauty of the material.
For Luisa Albert, the portrait, on the other hand, is a silent dialogue between painter and model. In this section of the exhibition, the emphasis is on the subject's psychology. The portrayed subjects seem ready to interact with the viewer, captured in a moment of genuine introspection. The attention to detail in skin, fabrics, and expressions is never an end in itself, but serves to convey the profound truth of the individual. Finally, the works depicting the animal world combine anatomical expertise with emotional involvement.
Particular attention is paid to the rendering of plumage or fur, which invites an almost tactile perception of the work.
