Strolling through the centuries in Susa.
This urban trek takes place in the center of Susa, known as the "gateway to the Alps." Since ancient times, it has served as an outpost for controlling the mountains and a transit point for pilgrims from the north heading to Rome. Strolling through the ancient medieval streets, we'll discover the Cathedral of San Giusto, a Romanesque and Gothic jewel, and the ancient Roman monuments located around the forum and the castle of Duchess Adelaide. A climb to the ancient castrum will also allow us to observe the ancient Arch of Augustus, the aqueduct, and the Celtic altar. The walk will take us to the ancient Roman amphitheater, which was used for combat shows between gladiators and wild mountain animals.
Meeting at 10:00 am in front of the tourist office at corso Inghilterra 39 in Susa.
Free participation.
Required reservation until September 4: https://bit.ly/4n0gu94.
