On Sunday, April 13 at 03:30 pm from the Comboira hamlet of Villar Focchiardo a walk of about 2 hours will start to discover what remains of the Italian refractory products manufacturing “Marchis-Olliveri e C.” in Villar Focchiardo. This is a factory that was taken over by the Marchis and Olliveri families in 1892 (main factory, including a building, woods and quartz quarries, and factory in Dora, including a home, turbine building, warehouses and land; private road connecting Dora and the main factory, farmhouse, gardens and various pastures) until 1914, when Alberto Marchis’ widow had to sell the property. During the walk you will also visit the Viale dei Gelsi of Cascina Comboira, included in the list of Regional Monumental Trees, with a deed dated February 2025.
