The Traversée des Rois Mages, now in its 17th edition, brings together hundreds of amateur ski mountaineers. From Valfréjus, in the Haute Maurienne Vanoise, skiers set off towards the Thabor refuge. They then continue towards the Rois Mages refuge, in the heart of the Granges della Valle Stretta on the border with Italy.
There are different routes (beginner, intermediate and sports), so that each skier can participate according to their skill level. The routes are high mountain and 100% natural, open and recognized by mountain professionals. Participants can ski alone on these marked routes.
