The second installment of the "TRAVELING WITH THE EYES OF THE HEART AND MIND" series is approaching, a series of stories centered around the Middle Ages in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino. The series was created thanks to the support of the Municipality, the Parish of San Giovanni Vincenzo, and the Pro Loco "Sacra di San Michele" of Sant'Ambrogio, and thanks to the contribution received from the "Note e Sipari" call for proposals from the CRT Foundation.
On this occasion, FRIDAY, JULY 31, starting at 9 PM, we will move from our usual location, the Church of San Rocco, to the TERRACE OF THE ABBEY CASTLE (Via Sacra di San Michele 34), at the base of the Stations of the Cross for the Sacra di San Michele (in the building that also houses the "L’Om ‘d Fer" restaurant), for a great story.
On the 1300th anniversary of the founding of the famous Benedictine Abbey of Val Susa, in CHRONICON - THE CHRONICLE OF NOVALESA AND THE BATTLE OF THE CHIUSE, we will recount the events of one of the most important religious buildings in the western Alpine region, focusing in particular on an event that occurred right at the foot of the present-day abbey castle: the Battle of the Chiuse.
Free admission.
