Sunday, July 19th at 9:00 PM | Melezet hamlet – Bardonecchia "High Altitude Fever".
Let's Go Back – Fragments of Memory and Stories from Bardonecchia.
A traveling theatrical performance written, directed, and performed by Roberto Micali and Renato Sibille.
Through the story of the dramatic typhoid fever epidemic that struck Bardonecchia during the excavation of the Fréjus railway tunnel, the performance brings to light the extraordinary figure of Dr. Secondo Laura, a young doctor who chose to remain close to the sick, courageously facing fear, suffering, and sacrifice.
Departure from the Parish Church of Sant'Antonio – Melezet (Bardonecchia).
The evening will be preceded by a particularly significant moment: the naming of the church square after Dr. Secondo Laura, in homage to his memory and his example of dedication.
Free admission.
