Summer entertainment in Moncenisio

Moncenisio offers a rich summer program for children and young people with the project "Moncenisio: History, Nature, Art and Much More!", a summer entertainment and local education initiative that combines play, discovery, and learning through outdoor experiences.

The program spans seven Sundays, from July 19th to August 30th, with nature walks, creative workshops, guided tours, and itineraries to discover the area's historical, artistic, and environmental heritage.

Events:

July 19th – Science: Nature walk among the lakes and recognition of Alpine fauna.

July 26th – History: Treasure hunt in the village to discover ancient crafts and a theater workshop.

August 2nd – Science and Art: Visit to the centuries-old ash tree and create an artistic herbarium with collected leaves and flowers.

August 9th – Science: Walk towards San Pancrazio and recognition of local flora.

August 16 – History: Guided tour of the Ecomuseum and a theater workshop on the history of the village, including chestnuts, the mountain pass, and the railway.

August 23 – Art and Literature: Bookbinding and creative writing workshop, in collaboration with the Book Fair.

August 30 – Art: Visit to the Chapel of San Giuseppe and an outdoor painting workshop inspired by mountain landscapes and Piedmontese masters.

The activities are aimed at elementary and middle school children and youth and include games, workshops, walks, theater, nature, art, and much more.

Time:

Morning: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm

Afternoon: 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm

The activities are organized by Teresa Odasso.

The meeting point is at the Municipal Sports Area. In case of inclement weather, the meeting point will be at the "Le Terre al Confine" Ecomuseum.
