The concert season “Royal Harmonies Along the Via Francigena” continues on Saturday 16 May at 9 pm in the parish church of Saints Vincenzo and Anastasio in Villardora. The organist Luca Benedicti and the violinist Maurizio Cadossi will perform pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach (Little Prelude and Fugue in A minor BWV 559, Little Prelude and Fugue in C major BWV 553, Air on the IV string for violin and organ), Johann Pachelbel (Canon in D major for violin and organ), Tomaso Albinoni (Adagio in G minor for violin and organ), Domenico Zipoli (At the Elevation in F major, At the Post-Communion with the Flutes, At the Offertory), Oskar Wermann (Song from the 4 Vortragsstücke opus 130 for violin and organ), Vincenzo Petrali (Adagio for Human Voice), Vincenzo Bellini (Sonata for Organ) and Arcangelo Corelli (Sonata opus 5, number 12 for violin and organ on "La Folia").
The executive and artistic planning of the concerts along the Via Francigena is curated by the Itinerari in Musica association in collaboration with the municipalities of Avigliana, Buttigliera Alta, Sant'Ambrogio di Torino, Chiusa San Michele, Villar Dora, and Susa. The Organalia cultural association is a partner in the initiative. Collaborations are also active with the web TV SoloClassica Channel, the record label Elegia Classics, and the Facebook groups "Friends of Classical Music in Turin and Piedmont," "Eighteenth-Century Music," and "Baroque Intrecci." The project is carried out in collaboration with the Fondazione Ordine Mauriziano and the Rotary Clubs "Rivoli" and "Susa e Valle Susa."
