On Friday, April 10th, at 9:00 PM in Chianocco, in the parish church of San Pietro Apostolo, the educational concert "Minima Floralia" by and with Cecilia Lasagno and Paola Bertello will take place.
Imagine a sound garden where each piece is a flower, unique in language and provenance. The musical dialogue blossoms from Hildegard of Bingen's praises of Creation to the licentiousness of the minstrels and the poetic contrasts of Cielo d'Alcamo. The journey passes through flowerbeds of Sephardic songs, Scottish Gaelic ballads, and the celebrated Cantigas de Santa Maria.
Along paths of ancient songs, where the plant world is symbol, medicine, and magic, we arrive at modern sounds that draw on tradition to sing the immutability of the human experience. An immersive experience in the eternal becoming of life, which, like a plant, tirelessly transforms from seed to flower.
